Residents of the Schaumburg Township communities of Hoffman Estates and Elk Grove Village are welcome to participate in a document destruction event sponsored by SWANCC, the Solide Waste Agency of Northern Cook County.
When: August 13, 9-11
Where: Elk Grove Village Hall, 901 Wellington Ave.
What: There is no cost to attend but IDs must be shown proving residency. There is a limit of six banker sized boxes per vehicle. Paper clips and staples do not need to be removed, but please remove binders. Residents from a SWANCC member community may participate in events in any community.

Palatine Township will be sponsoring a seminar, “Coping With Coyotes,” in response to a citizen’s request. The seminar will be held at:

Friday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m.
There has been a lot of concern recently due to a few pets being killed by coyotes. The seminar will help residents understand the dos and don’ts, as well as what can and cannot be done to keep the coyotes at bay.
