Christmas lights and extension cords can be recycled at the following village locations
Elk Grove Village: Community Development Counter in Elk Grove Village Municipal Complex, 901 Wellington Ave. During regular business hours. November 1, 2023 – April 30, 2024. SWANCC community residents only.
Hanover Park: At Public Works, 2041 W. Lake Street. 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. January 1 – March 29, 2024.
Hoffman Estates: In the Village Hall lobby, 1900 Hassell Road. During regular business hours. SWANCC community residents only. December 4, 2023 – February 2, 2024.
Schaumburg: In the lobby at Public Works, 714 South Plum Grove Road or the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center, 101 Schaumburg Court. During regular business hours at all times of the year. Please remove all C-3, C-7 and C-9 bulbs before dropping off the strands.
