Spring is in the air and the American woodcock is feeling it too.  You can hopefully view the interesting mating ritual of this  portly inland sandpiper with its long beak and short legs at the Stillman Nature Center in South Barrington on Saturdays, March 19 & 26, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.

Bring your binoculars, dress warmly and wear shoes or boots you don’t mind getting wet.   This program is being held for those 8 years and up.

Space is limited so call (847) 428-OWLS to make reservations or email them at stillnc@wildblue.net

The Stillman Nature Center is located at 33 W. Barrington Road in South Barrington.

SCHAUMBURG RECYCLING EVENT
February 6, 2011, 7:00 am

Now is the time to start collecting your electronic items for the Schaumburg Recycling Event scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2011

It is a great opportunity to be clean and green at the same time!  You can clean your house of the old, broken, unused electronic gadgets and drive them to the Schaumburg Township District 54 Administrative Offices on Schaumburg Road.  Your green actions will reduce landfill usage and provide for recycling of potentially hazardous materials.

Look for more information to follow in the upcoming months.
