Nicor Gas has launched a new Residential Prescriptive Rebate program to help residential customers save energy and money. Residents may qualify for a rebate on high efficiency storage water heaters, furnaces and boilers installed between May 1, 2010 and May 31, 2011.

Since May, residents of Hoffman Estates have been able to drop off electronics at the Village Hall on specified days. With winter coming, the program will end on Wednesday, November 24. Until then items may still be dropped off at the times specified below.

Mondays and Wednesdays: 10-12
Do not drop off electronics other than during posted dates and times.
