The Village of Schaumburg is holding a FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event!  It is sponsored by the Illinois EPA and Urban Street Group.

Saturday, June 24, 2017 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

All Hazardous Waste collections are for residential waste only.  No business waste will be accepted.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE FARMERS’ MARKET

farmers-market-2Check out the farm-fresh products at the 10th Annual Elk Grove Village Farmers’ Market. The Market is open from June 3 to October 14, 2017 on every Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You can find the Market at the Clock Tower on the municipal grounds at 1000 Wellington Avenue in Elk Grove Village.

The Elk Grove Farmer’s Market offers a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, breads, meats and baked goods. There will also be vendors featuring items such as salsas, flowers, nuts, honey, popcorn, doggie treats and more. New vendors with special or seasonal items will attend as the Market progresses.

WHERE:  2500 Army Trail Road, Hanover Park, IL

Visit their beehives, learn about honey bees, and see how you can get started keeping honey bees in Hanover Park.  Beekeepers will be on hand to answer questions about this fun, fascinating, and increasingly important hobby.



MAXWELL STREET MARKET–IN HANOVER PARK!

Looking for that perfect treasure at a reasonable price?  Find it at Maxwell Street Market @ The Metra, a community wide garage sale, that is sponsored by the Village of Hanover Park.  The event is free and will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9:00 to 4:00 at the Hanover Park Commuter Lot at the intersection of Church Street and Lake Street.

Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis with a total of two spaces, maximum.  Hanover Park residents may purchase 1 space for $25 and 2 spaces for $40.  Non-residents may purchase 1 space for $30 and 2 spaces for $50.

Food vendors must bring only pre-packaged items.  1 space for $40 and 2 spaces for $60.

There will be no rain date scheduled for the event.  Fees are nonrefundable.  Any unsold spaces will be sold at the gate the morning of the sale on a first-come, first-served basis.
