farmers-market2It’s time to start thinking about the farm fresh fruits, produce, flowers, baked goods, meat and cheese that are some of the goodies you can find at the Schaumburg Farmers’ Market.

You’ll find locally grown fruits and vegetables, meats, flowers, plants and gourmet cheeses sold by the farmers who produce them. The market also features decadent pastries, baked goods, olives, spices, home made pasta and knife sharpening services. This family friendly activity offers freshly squeezed lemonade, kettle corn and snow cones made on site. Enjoy the unique flavors of summer at the farmers market!

 

The Market is open every Friday from June 2 to October 27, 2017,  7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Market is located at the Trickster Gallery in the Town Square Shopping Center at 190 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

BARGAIN BULB & PLANT SALE

Fall Bulb PlantingThe Schaumburg Garden Club will be selling donated bulbs from the Schaumburg Park District on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.  Proceeds will go to the both the Schaumburg Garden Club and the Schaumburg Park District Foundation

In addition, members of the Garden Club will bring plants and bulbs from their own gardens to sell as well as herbs, native plants, trees and bushes.  It promises to be a veritable nursery!

The Bulb & Plant Sale will take place at:

DROP OFF USED SHOES TO THE VILLAGE OF SCHAUMBURG

Shoe recyclingThe Village of Schaumburg is serving as a collection site for donated shoes of all sizes and ages to help people in our community and across the country who live in poverty.

Please drop off gently-used, closed-toed shoes in the collection box located next to the elevator at the west entry of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center, 101 Schaumburg Ct.

Donated shoes will be sent to Soles4Souls, a not-for-profit global social organization committed to fighting poverty.

This collection drive is led by a Boy Scout with the Schaumburg Troop 493 as part of an Eagle Scout project.
