Come to the Green Side

The athletic shoe recycling event in the month of April sponsored by the Schaumburg Township District Library and the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County was very popular.  Not only did we collect 634 usable shoes but people are still trying to drop off their tennies!

Unfortunately, we cannot accept them but I can give you a few clues as to where they can be dropped off:

• Nike store on North Michigan Avenue in Chicago
• Nike store at Gurnee Mall
• Nike Store at Premium Outlets in Aurora
• Algonquin Township in McHenry County at 3702 Northwest Highway between Cary and Crystal Lake
• Wauconda Public Library

Or, save them until next year.  We hope to have a dropoff again!
