Now is the time to consider recycling your prescription and over the counter medication.  The Hoffman Estates and Elk Grove Village Police Departments are partnering with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for a drug disposal event:

Saturday, April 30
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ONLY

Elk Grove Village Police Department
901 Wellington Avenue
Elk Grove Village, IL  60007

Hoffman Estates Police Department
411 W. Higgins Road
Hoffman Estates, IL  60169

(The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches.)

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Drugs for disposal do not need to be marked or in original packaging.

*In addition to the annual take-back program, prescription drugs can be dropped off throughout the year at the Fire Administration counter in the lower level of the Elk Grove Village Hall, 901 Wellington Ave., 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
