If you live in Hoffman Estates or Elk Grove Village and you have holiday lights that have seen better days or simply aren’t working, here’s a good, green way to get rid of them.

Elk Grove Village residents may drop lights off at:
Elk Grove Village Community Development Counter
901 Wellington Avenue
Elk Grove Village
November 2, 2015 to March 31, 2016
(847) 357-4220

Hoffman Estates residents may drop lights off at:
Village Hall Lobby
1900 Hassell Road
Hoffman Estates
November 30, 2015 – February 5, 2016
Monday through Friday:  8:30 – 5:00
Saturday:  9:00-12:00
(847) 882-9100

Acceptable lights include:  mini-lights (or Italian lights), C7 lights, C9 lights, rope lights, LED lights, extension cords, etc.  All colors and lengths will be accepted. Garland, live greens, wreathes, or other non-recyclables are NOT accepted.  You must live in either one of the two communities listed.
