What: ONLY THESE ELECTRONICS WILL BE ACCEPTED: computers, servers, monitors, printers, scanners, laptops/tablets, tvs, cameras, MP3 players, microwaves, christmas lights, batteries, cell phones, cables/wires, radios, speakers, projectors, routers/modems, fax machines, PDAs, power supplies, keyboards/mice, DVD/VHS players, video game consoles, alarm clocks.

Also accepted are:  eyeglasses, hearing aids, inkjet and laser cartridges,  American flags, keys, car/sump pump batteries and bicycles.

Document shredding will also be available at this event from 10:-12:00.  

There is also a collection of clothing items for men, women and children which includes:  shoes, boots, clothing, hats, purses, belts and bags.  Linens such as sheets, blankets, towels and drapes are also accepted.

The extravaganza is open to the public.

Shredding eventState Representative Michelle Mussman, AT&T, Cintas, Hanover Park Community Bank and Hanover Park Chamber of Commerce are giving you the FREE opportunity to shred those old documents and paperwork in your home or office.

The shredding will take place at Hanover Park Community Bank at:
1400 Irving Park Road, Hanover Park

July 18, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

There is a limit of two boxes per constituent.

With the state of Illinois holding limited hazardous waste collections due to budget concerns, you might want to take advantage of this event being sponsored by the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County:



Household Chemical Waste Mobile Event
Saturday, May 16, 2015, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Vernon Hills Metra Station
Route 45 and Ranney Avenue
Vernon Hills, IL

All HCW collections are for residential waste only.  No business waste will be accepted.

Items you can bring to a collection include: CFL bulbs, unwanted prescription and over-the counter medicines and supplements (people and pet), household cleaners, gasoline, garden chemicals, pesticides, oil-based paints (no latex) and varnishes, as well as other household chemicals.  For a more detailed list see this SWALCO flyer Hazardous Waste flyer
