PACE Bus Service serves Schaumburg Township in a few different ways. This route is a local rush hour feeder to the Schaumburg Metra Station. If you’d like to go to Wrigley Field to catch a Cubs game, try this option or, if you’d like to catch a Bears game at Soldier Field, try this option. Feel like shopping? Take this route to Gurnee Mills or this route to Golf Mill or Old Orchard.
The Hoffman Estates Environmental Commission is sponsoring the 11th annual Hoffman Estates Village Improvement Day on Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The village has identified an array of open spaces, parks and creek lines that need attention. Environmental Commission members will be on hand to coordinate the work and assist the volunteers. Work will be limited to trash pickup and the village will provide the bags.
The event will kick off at the Public Works Center at 2305 Pembroke Ave. at 9:00 a.m. Free T-shirts will be distributed to those helping while supplies last. All minors must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate.

Join our National Library Month celebration this April by dropping off some of your electronic items to be recycled. The Schaumburg Township District Library, in partnership with Recycling Avenue, will be collecting any of the following items ONLY:

- Cell Phones
- Ink Cartridges

Acceptable items for recycling include: personal computers (PCs), laptops, monitors, keyboards, electronic mice, hard drives, CD ROM/Zip/Tape drives, modems, cords and cables (power, USB, etc.), CDs, DVDs, floppies, etc. VCR, DVD, Laser Disc players, digital clocks, portable radio/cd players, speakers/stereo systems, CBs/two-way radios, telephones, cell phones, cameras (film, magnetic tape, digital), palm organizers, hand held games, video game players, calculators, joysticks/game controls, adding machines, typewriters/word processors, copy/fax/scanner machines, pagers, paper shredders and answering machines.
Unacceptable items include: Televisions, microwaves, appliances, air conditioners, water heaters, refrigerators, ovens, garbage disposals, fire extinguishers, household hazardous waste and regular garbage.
Document shredding is limited to two copy boxes per resident for certified document destruction and is sponsored by DOCU-SHRED. Their phone number is 630-986-5411.

CFL Light Bulb Pick Up for Schaumburg residents only: Four bulbs are free to every Schaumburg resident who presents proof of residency. They are available while supplies last.
